Child Support Services has several ways to collect child support for your child(ren) including:- Interception of:
- Withholding of wages from paychecks (wage assignment)
- Income tax refunds
- Unemployment benefits
- Worker’s Compensation benefits
- State Disability benefits
- Lottery winnings
- Bank levies (attaching bank accounts)
- License suspensions (driver’s and professional licenses)
- Passport denials
- Property liens
- Referral to the District Attorney for criminal prosecution
- Interception of:
- Enforcement of Health Insurance – Child Support Services works to enroll the child(ren) into health insurance coverage
- Modification of Support Orders
- Child Support Services will modify support orders if there is a change of circumstances based on:
- Increase or decrease of income (lay-off, firing, reduction of hours/pay rate)
- Disability
- Military deployment
- Change in custody or visitation
